    Established in 2001 through the combination of the CertainTeed and Norton Foundations, the Saint-Gobain Corporation Foundation is committed to putting the power of their people and their products directly into the hands of the communities in which their employees live and work.

    The company focuses particularly hard on developing the next generation of the green workforce, as well as blue- and white-collar Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) workers.

    Through two key partnerships, US2020 and YouthBuild USA, Saint-Gobain is helping educate future generations about sustainable building and environmental preservation by our own example and large mentorship.

    Saint-Gobain is involved in a variety of social responsibility programs, examples of which include:
    • Community/Plant Grants
      • The foundation support organizations involved with arts and culture, education, housing, and other areas located near a Saint-Gobain facility. The program is designed to enable each facility to target its financial support according to local needs and priorities. . (Community/Plant Grants)
    • Employee Matching Grants
      • Saint-Gobain's dedication to philanthropy extends between corporate offices and to their exceptional employees. The foundation matches contributions made by employees of Saint-Gobain to nonprofit organizations with a 50 percent company donation.(Employee Matching Grants)
    • Direct Grants
      • The Saint-Gobain Corporation Foundation Direct Grants program supports non-profit organizations where their employees live and work. 
      • The Saint-Gobain Corporation Foundation Direct Grants program supports non-profit organizations in three major focus areas:
        • Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) Education, especially blue collar and non-traditional STEM programs.
        • Habitat: The interaction between people, buildings and the environment or sustainable building (energy conservation and environmental concern)
        • Local Communities: Community development, especially in the area of housing
